Instilling a sense of responsibility in children
is the key to their success both in school and in the larger world when
they grow up. They have an inborn capacity for compassion.
Our steppers have spent quality time with senior
citizens and orphans. The school has adopted orphans and has taken
complete responsibility for their education. And our steppers have left
no stone unturned to make them feel at home.Cleanathon was a flagship
endeavor by the school in 2009. Our steppers have cleaned several parts
of the city and even disposed of the garbage as per civic norms. Our
cleanathon resonates with the Swaach Bharat Abhiyan but it began a lot
before that.
The growing concern over the erosion of
essential values and increasing cynicism in society has focused the need
to make education a forceful tool for the cultivation of social and
moral values. We at S.S.H.S have taken a step in this direction by
initiating two projects i.e. “Lavanya” and “Mission Buzurg”. Our
students have also spearheaded a tree plantation drive, a blood donation
camp and even a fundraiser for cancer patients.
Apart from this, our school also runs the
Steppers Seva Group which was an initiative formed to help the poor and
the needy of our society badly affected by the pandemic and other
calamities. Our teachers and students have constantly reminded
themselves that they are an integral and inseparable part of the society
that we live in.
