Steppers are enriched with life skills during their school years. The term ‘life skills’ refers to the skills you need to make the most out of your life. Any skill that is useful in your life can be considered a life skill. The school offers a plethora of opportunities through various clubs and provides a platform for the overall development of the students. The students are encouraged to choose the clubs according to their interest.
In the cooking club, the art of cooking has been taught to the children along with the Food Pyramid so that children learn the importance of healthy food while learning to be self reliant. Down the years we have added to the repertoire of skills to be imbibed. We also teach pottery, carpentry and paper making where the students learn to focus on real-world tools and knowledge. We have an Agriculture club where children learn the various methods of growing crops and it familiarizes the students with farming practices. Art and craft, drama, dance, public speaking, music and robotics are some of the life skills we encourage at Stepping Stones. In our Crochet and Stitching clubs, the students learn how to thread a needle and also practice different types of hand stitches like running stitch, back stitch, hemming, cross stitch. Our quiz club aims at identifying students and creating opportunities for them to sharpen their quizzing skills. The Creative Writing Club provides a forum to aspiring authors to write, edit, and illustrate their own stories while the Language Club encourages the students to to learn a foreign language and we have experienced tutors who inspire them to speak it in a relaxed environment. Our Eco club plays an important role in creating environmental awareness amongst the future generation. Other clubs of the school include Debate, Drama, Dance, Music, Science, Horse Riding, and Archery Clubs.
